Day by day
Day 1
Edinburgh to Callander
Blackness Castle, Midhope Castle, Stirling Castle, Doune Castle. Overnight Callander. Sample hotel: Thackray House.
Day 2
Callander to St Andrews
Scone Palace, Glamis Castle, St Andrews Castle and Cathedral with time in town. Overnight St Andrews. Sample hotels: Stravithie Castle, Russacks Hotel or Rufflets.
Day 3
St Andrews to Edinburgh or Glasgow
Falkland Palace and gardens, Loch Leven Castle, Culross Palace, Inchgarvie and the Queensferry Crossing if time allows. Drop-off Edinburgh or Glasgow.
